Do you ever ask yourself…..? What  is the PTSA?  Why should I be a part of the PTSA?  What can the PTSA do for my child?  The  answer is simple and affects not only your child, but the entire school and  community.  

  What is the PTSA:   Parent-Teacher-Student Association, aka PTSA is a voluntary organization  bringing together parents, teachers,and students within a particular school or  school district, usually for fund-raising, building parent involvement and  community at school and other activities relating to the welfare of the  school.  You Are the PTSA.

The mission of the George  Washington Carver High Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is to be the  main support of our school--internally with our administration, faculty and  students; and externally with our families and the community around us. We want  to provide a communication link, so everyone will be connected in making George  Washington Carver best high school in our city! Accomplishing our mission depends on YOU! We  hope you will join the PTSA both financially and physically. We want you to  give generously and volunteer throughout the year. We want you to support all  the events planned for the upcoming year. So please visit the schools website www.carverhighschool.com and print a copy of the PTSA Events Calendar. In order to increase parent  involvement, we will have four evening PTSA Open House meetings the evening  prior the release of progress reports on the following dates at 7 p.m.:

During open house, parents will have the opportunity to obtain their child’s progress reports and address any pertinent issues. Each meeting will spotlight school organizations and provide beneficial information for life skill development for you and your family. The PTSA works in collaboration with a number of organizations to implement special programs/activities to GWCHS. Tentatively scheduled is:
